The guitar replaces the sax, allowing to broaden the repertoire towards rock or more guitar-oriented songs that would otherwise be unplayable. The guitar is also useful to replace the piano for situations where a second acoustic set or movement is required; a trio is obtained consisting of guitar, voice and cajon, ideal for interventions during dinner and for cutting the cake if displaced.
The Piper band in QUARTET WITH GUITAR is designed to follow a wedding with the following setting:
Ceremony with piano + voice or guitar + voice, live set for the cocktail hour with the full band, background music for the banquet + acoustic interludes with guitar, voice and percussion between the main courses, live guitar and voice for the cake cutting if displaced from the band, live for desserts with the whole band and a professional DJ to take over for the final party.
