By popular demand we present our manouche jazz ensembles. This musical genre also called jazz, gypsy swing or hot club jazz is one of the styles of jazz and is characterized by string instruments (guitars, basses, violins...), typical of gypsy bands. This musical genre has its origins in the unrepeatable artistic experience of guitarist Django Reinhardt, who combined the ancient gypsy musical tradition of the Manouches lineage and American jazz.
These formations present themselves with a basic trio made up of 2 guitars and double bass to which it is possible to add a voice, a clarinet and a violin.
The repertoire they propose is suitable for an aperitif or for the first part of the after-cake thanks to the rhythmic characteristic that distinguishes these formations.
We filmed the 4 variations so as to evaluate all the possible combinations:
- basic trio
- quartet with voice
- quartet with clarinet
- quartet with violin
